Willibroad W. Ticha hails from Northwest Region of Cameroon. He was born to a family of Presbyterians. His parents will take him and his siblings to Church, and later they would also go to a native doctor for protection. The family never knew what being born again meant. In 1993, went to a boarding school (Presbyterian Secondary School Mankon) to pursue his secondary school education. Later in 1994, he joined the school Bible Club, and heard the gospel preached to him like never before. Little did he know that would usher him into a lifelong journey.
He began having series of spiritual encounters, and visions with the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus told him he was called to preach the gospel and to deliver those in bondage. His prayer life took a turn around in 1996, he began praying an average of one hour each day. By 1998, he would pray daily an average of 15 hours for an extended period of time. His passion to become a medical doctor gave way for the passion to preach the Gospel. He prayed God to touch his tongue and heal him from stuttering, which the Lord did. He overcame shyness to evangelize and gave himself to Evangelism wholeheartedly. By the time he graduated from high school, he had ministered the Gospel to over 1000 students. He would evangelize in taxis, public buses, markets, streets, hospitals, universities, etc. Like Apostle Paul, he has encountered a number of challenges in preaching the gospel. Once he was forced out of a public bus, once his landlord in the university refunded his rent money after 3 days of moving into this new hostel on account of two spirits cannot live in the same building. On another occasion, he was attacked by a gang of boys and was beaten until he bled for evangelizing.
On one occasion, on his way home from studying at the university with his friend, they realized the road was not passable as a swarm of honeybees had covered the entire road (about 0.1 mile). He told his friend that they should claim their authority over the beast of the air as in Genesis 1:26-27, and to get into the bees. The friend said he was crazy. He claimed his authority by faith and jumped into the swarm of bees. He could barely see the road as his head almost became like a beehive and was enveloped with bees. The bees were all over his face and his body, but none of them stung him as he went through to the other side. This is only one example of the daring and courageous nature of Dr. Willibroad.
Once he was attacked by three gun men who pointed two guns at him. They told him they would shoot him if he didn't put his hands up. Refusing to put his hands up, he shouted Jesus and began praying in tongues, while one of the guns was pointing at his head, and the other at his chest. As he was praying, he had a vision and saw an ancient typewriter machine writing Isaiah 54:17; "No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper..." The power of God came on him mightily and one of them stretched the gun towards him saying "I shoot you." He walked to the gun telling himself even if they shoot, it will not penetrate. At some point they began running and he was chasing them. There are many other stories of his exploits on faith.
Dr. Willibroad is a prolific writer and has written over ten book which can be purchased on Amazon and other platforms. He is passionately involved with the Great Commission globally and locally, as well as igniting the passion for ministry in leaders around the world.
